Three adventurers (from Canada, New Zealand and the UK) have completed the very first jump over Mount Everest, the tallest mountain on earth.  They jumped from about 9km, and had a one minute long freefall.  The skydivers used breathing apparatus, special clothing (to deal with the cold temperatures), and extra-thick parachutes (since the air is so thin at those altitudes).  They also carried out training exercises on the mountain in order to prepare themselves.
