Are you running your own company? Are you still generating invoices manually using Excel? If so – Simple Invoices is a simple, community developed, free/open source, web-based invoicing system that can be easily installed on most webservers and will keep track of all your invoceing needs. If you dont have a webserver handy – no problem – hop on over to their market place and find someone to host it for you!

The requirements are:

• Apache (Web server)
• MySQL (Database server)
• PHP 5 (Programming language)
  • For PDF export to work your PHP needs:
    • GD2 support
    • php.ini needs to be edited with a max memory of 24M
  • For Reports to work your PHP needs:
    • xsl support (in PHP5)
• The cache/ directory in the Simple Invoices folder must be writeable by the webserver user (ie chown apache:apache cache)
• To send emails you will need access to a mail server (smtp)
