The second US presidential debate has been held, and again the polls seem to suggest it was very close, with CBS’ polls saying 35% of undecided voters thought it was a draw.  According to the same poll 39% thought Obama had won, and 27% McCain.

For the most part Obama seemed to stick to a similar strategy he had in the previous debate, one of calm and he concentrated on keeping his footing while the more aggressive McCain fired away.  Obama was able to make some good points, focusing on issues such as the current economic crisis.  McCain at one point referred to Obama as “that one”, instead of naming him, while talking about an energy bill which Obama had voted for while he opposed it.
