Obama spends $4.5m on campaign television ad

Barack Obama’s $4.5m, 30 minute television ad is to run tonight at 8pm ET. This is evidence enough of the Obama campaign’s cash-flush situation. They have raised much more than the McCain campaign, and seem to be putting it to good use to strech their lead in the polls. Early voting results indicate that Obama is ahead by some margin. The advertisement is set to run on most major television networks, including CBS, NBC and MSNBC.

True, but it’s probably having the desired effect. In terms of campaigning I’m sure it’s money well spent.

Ye no I agree if you want to campaign its well spent; but given that its all raised money it seems like that money could have been donated elsewhere - or at least a portion
