Colin Powell has endorsed Barack Obama for the White House. Mister Obama has said he is “deeply humbled” by the support, with Senator McCain saying he is not surprised by the decision. McCain has however got support for his own campaign from many previous secretaries of state such as Henry Kissinger and Alexander Haig. Powell also stated (this is something which many people in important positions seem to agree on) that Obama has a better understanding of the economic problems facing the US.
