Codeweavers is a company that develops a proprietary version of Wine called Crossover. It allows one to run Windows based programs on a Linux or Mac system. The company distinguishes itself from other Wine variant producers by returning all its patches to the Wine project.
In July 2008 the company launched the Great American Lame Duck presidential challenge. This was done to encourage president Bush to make the best of his remaining days in office by achieving goals set by Codeweavers. President Bush achieved one of the goals relating to the Gasoline price, and the company is now giving it’s software away for free for a certain time. Check out the website here!
